MPOWER 2022 Global Citizen Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

Brief Description: MPOWER Financing is a public-benefit corporation whose known mission is to reduce the financial barriers to international education. It is based in Washington, DC, with an office in Bangalore, India. It was founded by Manu Smadja and Michael Davis in 2014, both of whom attended INSEAD in Paris where they met. MPOWER Financing offers its student loans to students who cannot typically qualify for a loan from other banks or lenders unless they have a co-signer or collateral. Mpower Financing lends to students who are within two years of graduation.

The Scholarships are awarded annually to international and DACA students enrolled at Universities MPOWER supports. They have intentionally designed this scholarship program to be as broad as possible to match the broad, diverse experiences of international students. At MPOWER, they believe that they are not just expanding access to higher education. They are also creating globally-minded, multi-lingual, culturally-competent graduates poised to take on the world’s most pressing problems in science, technology, business, and public policy. In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, they have created the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship.
